We created a consistent design language throughout the building that promotes a sense of wellness and comfort. Carefully considered was the circulation through spaces and the need to ensure a welcoming environment to patients and visitors. We alsomade use of warm color tones, natural elements and soft lighting, in a move away from white work surfaces in public areas. The idea is to promote wellness and well being, rather than the notion of the purely clinical aspect of healthcare. The design also addressed the functionality of the reception areas and provided ‘traditional’ and ‘open’ style desks in the consultation rooms.
